Packable Kitchen
The packable kitchen was inspired by the day and age of marginalized tenants needing flexible amenities through the evolving realties of “HOME.” Many tenants are turning towards creative means of establishing home in alternative and fluid scenarios. The packable kitchen was a custom fabricated kitchen design that converts two sheets of plywood into a roll anywhere kitchen setup. The sink can merely serve as catch basin where water is collected in a bucket below, meaning established water lines and wastewater lines are not needed. The faucet can be exchanged for a pour-over system and the off grid nature of this design makes it able to be setup inside, outside, in a barn, or in a garage. And when its time to move on to the next temporary home, this design can be packed into most standard SUV’s and vans.
